ROB Product Description
The Netherlands Central Bank (DNB) supervises the organization and control of credit institutions’ operational processes. What this means is that operational processes are steered and risks are managed in such a way as to ensure controlled and sound management of the organization as a whole. It also holds a great value to adequately manage the Compliance related issues. Living up to Compliance is a key element for creating thrust and a stabile financial network.
DNB has a continuous focus to improve operational excellence on Compliance issues by setting clear normative boundaries and supervision on integrity as issued by the regulatory norm ROC (Regulation on Organization and Control – Dutch: Regeling Organisatie en Beheersing).
Supervision of an institution’s organization and control is qualitative in nature. Recommendations and general directives provided by DNB after consultation with the representative organizations will typically provide generally accepted principles and elements to promote adequate organization and control.
